Igaware Small Business Server
With the announcement by Microsoft that they are withdrawing their Small Business Server range in September 2013, the only options available to small business are Microsoft's Windows Server 2012, and a separate Exchange server either locally or cloud based. This significantly increases costs, and removes the single box solution for small businesses.
Promise IT is now able to offer a viable alternative, that is both cheaper, more reliable and better suited to small businesses and start-ups. The Igaware solution is appliance based, which means that is is delivered already installed on suitable hardware, and simply needs configuring. It provides rock solid reliabilty and minimum maintenance. Prices are easily worked out and are available on application.
Existing customers have had the solution in place for up to eight years without any issues, unlike the majority of SBS users where Windows updates often cause issues.
The Exchange alternative offers full collaboration, and supports Outlook as well as fully functional web interfaces. The ability to share calendars, mail, contacts and tasks via Outlook, web acess or on your smart phone or tablet will transform the way you work.
File sharing, with the ability to access via VPN again means you can work from anywhere without interuption. Security groups will allow you to define who of your staff can access certain files, ensuring you show good governance practice.
The first server in the range is small and quiet, allowing it to sit next to a desk without the noise disruption of bigger boxes. The larger servers can be mounted in a rack if required. Having a built in router and firewall means that security is self contained, and easy to administer. Despite that it is an enterprise level firewall, so you can be sure your data is safe and secure.
The solution is fully compatible with both Windows and Mac desktops, and allows them to run the same software your users are used to. It is not only rock solid, but is secure, easy to use, and affordable. If you are already a Windows server user, it integrates with Active Directory, and allows Exchange migration, retaining the full functionality the users are used to, including mobile access to emails from Apple and Android devices.
The Igaware server provides reports of it's health and ensures that the network remains secure by built in anti-virus and firewall services. See below for the built-in functions available:-
